IF I were to take private commissions…

This is just an idea that I’m throwing out to all my blog readers and fans of Sunnyville Stories.  I’m considering taking on private commissions in the near future.  I am NOT taking private commissions at the time of this post’s writing.  The purpose of this is to just take a look out there and see who might be interested in private commissions.

Keep in mind my style is humorous and simple.  What you see is what you get.

That said, here are some samples of my work, some of which you’ve seen before and some that you haven’t.

Putting Your Foot In It

Putting Your Foot In It, pen-and-ink on 11×14 in. bristol

Landscape No. 3

“Landscape No. 3”, Pen, Brush & Ink on 7×10 in. watercolor paper

This landscape you see here was a conceptual piece intended to design the look and feel of Sunnyville and its surrounding wilderness area. I chiefly work in black and white, using India ink applied with nib pens. Occasionally, I will use brushes and technical drawing pens with a work too. I also do select color work.

I'm Walking

“I’m Walking”, Ink on 10×14 in. watercolor paper

This is one sample of color work I do. I’ll use colored ink or water-soluble paints (gouache or acrylic) in conjunction with black India ink. Prints of this work, by the way, are available on DeviantArt.

The Sun and Rusty

“The Sun and Rusty”, Ink and acrylic on 10×14 in. paper

Prints of this piece are also available on DeviantArt.

Again these samples are intended to show my basic capabilities. What prices I would charge should I actually take on commissions would depend. Understandably, prices would be higher for color work than black & white. Something more complicated like a book cover, a magazine cover, an album cover or a mural would be more money.

If and when I take private commissions, please consider all these samples and factors.

That’s all for now.  Subscribe via RSS feed or through email if you haven’t already.  Be sure to stop by Indy Planet to buy your copy of my first book, Sunnyville Stories Volume 1, as well as my other comics.  As always, your feedback is appreciated.  What’s your opinion?  We’d like to know.
