Sunnyville Stories turns 3 years old!

Today is August 1.  Today is the third anniversary of the day the official Sunnyville Stories blog was launched!

When I first launched this blog, Sunnyville Stories was still in its infancy.  I had just completed my first full story after enrolling in a comics seminar at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.  I was working on the second full story of the series (available in the Sunnyville Stories Volume 1 trade paperback) and had just enrolled in a marketing course to help promote myself and my work.

I mainly created this blog at the urging of my instructor, Matthew Archambault.  To be honest, I had no “base of operations” online and didn’t have a concise marketing plan prior to that.

Three years have passed.  I have put out my first trade paperback, done eight whole stories about the world of Sunnyville, started up my own publishing company, got my book into libraries, and even managed to get retailers like Amazon carrying my work!

At the time of this writing, I slowly work on Sunnyville Stories episode 9, ready a second trade paperback for release and even have planned out future releases.

Blogging isn’t easy.  For three years, I’ve updated this blog twice a week, sometimes more and sometimes less.  It is not easy doing this.  Finding subjects to blog about can be a challenge.

To be honest, I didn’t know how long I would last.  I’ve done so well, but there’s still so much more do to.

Thank you everyone for sticking with me for this long.  Please keep reading and don’t forget to buy copies of Sunnyville Stories wherever you can.
