September Status

Getting into September, I want to give you an update of where I stand.

I reiterate that Sunnyville Stories episode 9 has been delayed until I finish my next two books. It won’t be ready in time for my next convention appearance (more on that in a future blog post).

Currently, I’m working on Von Herling, Vampire Hunter. Forty-five pages of art are left to finish and as it stands, the book is on schedule to be completed and put to bed by its deadline of October 31. You can follow the progress of that book on my other blog.

Sunnyville Stories Volume 2 is well on schedule too. I’ve assembled almost everything. As a general reminder, episodes 4, 5, 6, and 7 will be included in this volume as will the contents of the Sunnyville Sketchbook and two bonus stories.

As it is now September, I’ve begun sending out press kits advertising my work to my vendors and the press.  The first five press kits have gone out to Brodart Company, BCH (my distributor), Booklist, the Comics Journal, and Carmine Street Comics, one of the indie shops carrying my books.

These press kits include contact information, information on my next books, press releases and promotional art. I plan to send out more over the coming weeks.

Stay tuned to this blog for further updates. I’ll keep you posted on what I’m up to.

Don’t forget that you can still get Sunnyville Stories Volume 1 for Kindle as well aspaperback. Check out the book’s Goodreads entry for other retailers as well as libraries carrying it!  Tell your library that you want Sunnyville Stories – we are carried through Brodart, Ingram, and the library division of Alibris!
