Advance Copies of Volume 2

Well, loyal readers, once more I have to apologize to you for not updating this blog on time. This blog is normally updated on Wednesdays and Saturdays. However, I was travelling all day yesterday back to the office at my base in Greensboro, North Carolina.

I do have some wonderful news to share with all of you.
The first advance copies of Sunnyville Stories Volume 2 were waiting on my office doorstep when I got back.

Advance copies of Sunnyville Stories Volume 2

I ordered up a batch of ten copies. One was a personal copy for myself. Everything else though is intended for the press.

Just this morning, I sent out the first of them. One copy went to the Library of Congress. This was done as a part of their Preassigned Card Number/Library of Congress Control Number program. As a condition of partaking in the program, I have to send a copy of my book to the LOC. This is good because not only do I have the honor of having a book on the shelves of the LOC, but many public libraries order based on information in the LOC catalog! This increases my chances of getting picked up by libraries.

Two copies went to the Midwest Book Review as per their policy. You may remember that this publication (a trade journal specializing in covering the small press) gave a rave review to the first volume. I’m preparing another copy to send out to the Library Journal tomorrow morning.

There’ll be about three leftover copies of this test run. You’re probably wondering what I’ll do with these. I plan to give them away via Goodreads starting this Saturday, November 16! Stay tuned to this blog for more details.
