The Kickstarter to fund the next printing of Sunnyville Stories Volume 1 enters its third day. We’re still at 0% funding. Again, the Kickstarter left the starting gate so it’s still very early.
I have been delayed in work on Sunnyville Stories episode 9 because of other concerns. I’m still working on my planned ebook, the Whimsical Worlds of Max West. I expect to finish it by the end of today and have it uploaded to Amazon for sale. This will be a collection of my other work consisting of zines, minicomics and gag cartoons. I’ll have a formal announcement here on the blog when it’s available.
I’m also going ahead with plans for Sunnyville Stories episode 10. The script has only one or two pages done, but at least I have a story treatment to work from. I do want to say that I have some special plans for that one.
Remember Steven Martin? He did the cover for Sunnyville Stories episode 5. He’ll be doing the cover for Sunnyville #10. I’ll have more info soon enough.
I’ve also contacted Dave Sim. For those of you not in the loop, Dave Sim is the creator of the famed series Cerebus the Aardvark. It was because of Sim that I chose to go it alone and set up my own company to publish and market Sunnyville Stories.
Why have I contacted Dave Sim? I’m asking him if I can use Cerebus as a background cameo character in the next Sunnyville. I thought it’d be funny to show Cerebus walking the streets of Sunnyville or to have him browsing the wares in the general store.
A response will take some time. I have not located any email address for Sim. All I could find was a mailing address at a post office in Kitchener, Ontario of Canada – my letter will probably take some time to get there and most likely even more time to answer…if he chooses to answer at all.
