Moving on with the next stories

Now that Sunnyville Stories Volume 3 is out of the way, I need to plan ahead in the creation of Sunnyville Stories #13 and #14.  I do have an announcement to make regarding these two stories.

These two will be made FREE to read.  Following the advice of Jon Gorga from Carmine Street Comics, I’m going to be serializing the next two stories for free on my DeviantArt gallery.  This should help to get more exposure for my work.

My working method is going to be somewhat different this time.  When it comes to pencilling and inking, I usually pencil all the pages and then proceed to ink all the pages.  For these next two stories, I intend to try Dave Sim’s working method – I will pencil a few pages and then ink them afterwards.  That way, I’ll be finishing a few pages at time so I’ll have something to show rather than wait until I’ve completely finished.  This will be done for the next two stories.

I also need to continue my marketing efforts.  I need more sales and more exposure.  Besides the aforementioned plan, more sales letters will be going out soon.  As the library market still remains my primary target, the libraries with big budgets (we’re talking millions of dollars) will get sales letters.  On top of that, sales letters will be going out to libraries here in the state of North Dakota, my adopted home state.

Stay tuned to this blog for more information; I’ll have more news regarding marketing as well as the development of my next comics as time goes on.

Sunnyville Stories Vol. 1 (ISBN 9780615653921) is still for sale on Amazon. Copies of Sunnyville Stories Volume 2 and Von Herling, Vampire Hunter are for sale right now at Great Stories.
