Work is continuing slowly but steadily on Sunnyville #10. At the time of this writing, 15 out of 31 pages total have been inked. I’m about halfway through and I’m pleased this story is one of the shorter ones.
This is one of the pages that’s been partially inked.
The Noodler’s Ink I’d been using is a great ink – but it takes forever to dry. Luckily for me, I managed to finally get some of the Speedball Super Black ink, my ink of choice.
It’s probably going to take some more time to finish this story, but I want to finish this story by month’s end and put it to bed. I really have fallen behind schedule with my comics.
In spite of the challenges I’ve faced, I’m also developing other ideas. As a creative type (filmmaker, artist, writer, etc), you always must be thinking of your next idea. That was actually a part of my education years ago; I was taught to always be thinking of unusual ideas. I’ve mentioned it on here before, but I’ve been developing a fighting series called “Sheldon the Mighty”.
These are some rough pages from the second story I’ve been developing for Sheldon the Mighty, titled “Take On Me, Part 2”. This is meant more as a test to get readers interested in the work. I’m using very basic materials such as cardstock and markers rather than my traditional dip pens with ink on bristol board. If everything goes smoothly, I want to do the third story (titled “Mercy Street”) with my usual tools. If you’re interested in learning more about Sheldon’s story, check out my blog on WordPress.com.
That’s all for now. Sunnyville Stories Vol. 1 (ISBN 9780615653921) is still for sale on Amazon. Copies of Sunnyville Stories Volume 2 and Von Herling, Vampire Hunter are for sale right now at Great Stories. Check out Direct Textbook too for more details on my books!
