I wanted to share tonight two crowdfunding projects that are in need of your help. Given how my own Kickstarter didn’t work out, I don’t want these people to fail.
The first is a Kickstarter by Kelsye Nelson for a book titled Book Lush: The What to drink with what to read guide book. At the time of this writing, the project is 17% funded with just 21 days to go.
The book itself? It’s exactly what it says on the tin – it’s a recommendation of cocktails to drink while reading certain authors or particular types of literature. Personally speaking, that’s a novel idea.
The second one is more personal and poignant. It’s over on GoFundMe.com and is a survival fund for a gifted individual named Patrick Russell of West Virginia. Mr. Russell is in need of emergency funds; at the time of this writing, this drive has raised US$3,530 out of 5,000.
Mr. Russell is a supporter of the independent arts scene (writing, comics, music, film, etc) and he can really use our help.
I ask all of you to please give whatever you can to these two funding drives.
