I have to apologize to all of you readers once more. I haven’t updated the blog at its regular intervals and haven’t done much drawing either. I’ve been busy with business matters (taxes for example) and have also had to deal with other things.
Only a handful of pages so far to Sunnyville Stories episode 10 have been pencilled. Luckily for me, the story only clocks in at 31 pages.
So far, I’ve gotten into the start of the story where everything is being set up. As I mentioned before, Cerebus the Aardvark will be making a cameo appearance in this story. The page I’m prepping right now will have Cerebus browsing the shelves of the Sunnyville general store. (Cerebus does appear with the permission of Aardvark Vanaheim Incorporated.)

Cerebus can be tricky to draw. Granted, he won’t be appearing much other than in the general store and perhaps towards the end of the story. Still however, the earth pig is quite a challenge.

The second attempt came out better, but I’m still not happy with how that head on Cerebus came out. I don’t want to embarrass Dave Sim so I’d better make his creation look good.
Anyway, to make up for the missed blog posts, I’ll be posting up some of the rough work over the next couple of days. So stay tuned to the blog!
