I’ve completed ten entire stories starring Rusty, Sam, and all of Sunnyville. What I did is nothing short of impressive. I have done what very few people have done. There are many creative types out there who NEVER get past their first story or even finish them.
There are people who never get past the planning stages either.
There will be a total of fifty stories in the saga of Sunnyville. Having ten whole stories done means I’m now one-fifth of the way through the stories of Rusty and Sam. I should be happy.
But for some strange reason, I feel empty.
I honestly don’t know why this is. I’ve done what very few have done.
It’s hard to explain why I feel empty. Maybe I fear the future adventures of Rusty and Sam. Believe me, in the next ten stories, there will be many ups and downs and even at least one major change in the series.
It’s really my aim to have my work “grow the beard”. Many of the first stories were meant to introduce the world of Sunnyville and its inhabitants. Now I want to expand on everything.
My plans for the next Sunnyville books though have slowed down. After I release the third volume in January 2016, I can’t guarantee the fourth and fifth volumes will be out. I planned originally for 2017 and 2018. Now there’s no guarantee of meeting those dates. It all depends on my schedule.
What’s more is that I really need to raise more awareness of Sunnyville Stories and its characters. I’m already working on a plan to advertise the series more and pitch it to the target audiences.
It’s hard to say what will happen for sure with Sunnyville. I don’t know what the future holds for the next stories of Rusty and Sam. I just have to press forward.
