Hello, everyone. I’ve been busy.
First, a few reminders – on Saturday, March 24, I will attending the Toys Collectibles & Curiosities Exposition in Moorhead, Minnesota. I will be selling there; in addition to Sunnyville comics and books, I’ll be putting up original artwork for sale so be sure to check the event out. It is free and open to the public.
On Saturday, April 7, the Kickstarter to fund Sunnyville #17 will launch. Today and tomorrow will mark the days that I contact backers to pledge to the campaign. I emphasize that we will be raising US$300 for a micro run of Sunnyville #17 comics and I’m confident that this goal can be met.
Speaking of Sunnyville #17, work is slow but progressing. The goal will be to finish all thirty pages by the Kickstarter launch day. If that can’t be done, the secondary goal will be near completion. I hope to have some more pages to share in the future.
Work has slowed down on Sunnyville #17 mainly due to work on taxes. Once that’s done (and I get my tax refund), I can throw myself back into that.
Anyone who has been reading the mailing list (sign up for the mailing list if you didn’t already) will know that I’m courting a local offset printer to print up my planned Tiffany & Corey books next year. I had learned about these printers while at last week’s convention. They were not only quick to respond but they are also equipped with digital printing facilities. There’s a good chance I can get Sunnyville #17 printed up there and maybe future comics.
Why? Besides keeping the work local, I will not have to spend time and money on freight (I’d use that with an overseas printer) or shipping. I’ll keep you posted on that.
That’s it for now. I need to reach out to my Kickstarter backers and get back to work. Stay tuned to the blog and mailing list for more updates.
