I picked up a book this weekend that is meant to help me do something I’ve been wanting to do for ages.
This book – 9 Day Novel: Writing Fiction – is going to be my ticket to writing a full-length prose novel.
I know what some of you are thinking. This is a blog about comics, specifically my own. What does some dubious book have to do with making comics?
PLENTY! Using the strategies in this book, I typed up a whole script for Sunnyville Stories #17 in just a few hours. In the past, I struggled and stumbled writing a comics script. It took days or even weeks to write one. But using what I learned in this book, I did it in a few hours.
I even had enough time left over to type up half of the script to Sunnyville Stories #18. I even was able to type up two whole pages of my novel’s first draft.
The novel is going to wait a while until I can execute my plans for this. My main priority will be Sunnyville #17 and my “PLAN B” for Kickstarter. I’ll have more info on that later.
