Hello, everyone! The Christmas break for the blog has ended and now it’s back to business.
So what can all of you expect for 2019? Comics planned for this year are Sunnyville Stories #18, Sunnyville Stories #19 and a print comic for my webcomic characters Tiffany & Corey. I have not yet decided on the start date for laying out the pages to Sunnyville #18; the script needs some minor revisions and a review before we get started. There’s also business items like taxes to deal with.
Tiffany & Corey’s comic book will be somewhat of a challenge; as that is more of a gag work as opposed to the more “artistic” Sunnyville, I will concentrate more on shorter vignettes involving humor. Of course, the comic itself is meant more to promote the webcomic.
My main focus for this first quarter will be the Dominic & Claire Funnies.
The comic you see in my hand above in the photo? That’s the proof for the Dominic & Claire Funnies. The cover price is higher than I expected at US$1.25. But compared to the $4-7 superhero titles from Marvel and DC, this comic will be a bargain…with plenty of laughs I might add.
The print run of 1,000 copies should be shipping within the week and arriving in my mailbox. The official street release date remains Feb. 9. I will be selling this on the convention circuit this year along with copies of the Sunnyville Super Special #2 from my Kickstarter last year. I’m still negotiating with mail order companies and comics shops to carry the Dominic & Claire Funnies.
To help promote the work up to its release date, I will be sharing the pages of the 24-hour comic I did last year starring Dominic and Claire. They will be posted up on this blog starting tomorrow and until the end.
Stay tuned for more news. I have a lot planned for 2019 and I am confident that I will hit the big time this year!
