Kickstarter and Guilford Middle School

I have brief announcements to make. I’ve got good news and bad news for all of you.

First, the bad news – my planned Kickstarter is going to be delayed for about a week. It was going to start yesterday, Monday, January 6th, but there were problems processing the paperwork. At least the paperwork has been processed now. My Kickstarter (to fund a bigger print run of Sunnyville Stories Volume 1) has now been submitted to the Kickstarter staff for final approval. If all goes well, I’ll have it running by next Monday.

During the 30-day period of the Kickstarter, I’ll be blogging each and every day to promote it and give updates on the progress. I’m confident of this project being successful. Nonetheless, I’m counting on each and every one of you to help out. I can’t do this alone – I need your help and everyone in Sunnyville needs your help too.

Stay tuned for more information.

And now for the good news. After I had met the teacher in charge of the Comic Book Club at Guilford Middle School, I was invited to speak at the club’s meeting this Wednesday, January 7 (that’s tomorrow). I’ll be showing them my work, explaining my process of creation, talking about Sunnyville Stories in general, and taking questions.

I’ll have a full write-up later on.

Sunnyville Stories Vol. 1 (ISBN 9780615653921) is still for sale on Amazon and it’s also available wholesale through Ingram and Baker & Taylor via BCH Distribution as well as to the library trade through Brodart Books.

Last but not least, I welcome your fan letters and commentary. You can email me atmaxwestart(at)gmail.com or you can write to:
