October and November Twitter Break

This is more of a personal entry.  It’s also an announcement that needs to be made.

Twitter is a big boon to myself and my work.  I’ve also met the most amazing people on there.

Unfortunately, Twitter cuts both ways.  It can waste time and take me away from work on comics.  I’ve also been pulled into debates about current events; these quarrels are just plain annoying.  I have arrived at the point in my life where I’m tired of getting into online fights over every little thing.

My friend A.P. Fuchs has the right idea as he tends to go “dormant” from social media during the winter months.  Therefore, I have decided that after 24 Hour Comics Day on the weekend of October 7, I’ll be going into a state of semi-dormancy on Twitter.  There will be tweets but they will be automated mainly through software as well as the various share buttons.  I won’t be doing much else.  I need a break from Twitter and I need to concentrate on other things like my comics and Kickstarter.

The blog and mailing list will still remain active.  Anyone who needs to can still contact me.
