I have an announcement to make regarding another comics release this year. You may recall that I’ll be re-issuing one of my anthology comics again for both DriveThru and Comixology.
On Memorial Day (May 29), I will be releasing a compilation of my older comics digitally on Amazon Kindle, DriveThru and Comixology. It will be titled the Motley Worlds of Max West.
The Motley Worlds of Max West will collect the following works of mine (subject to change without notice):
- Ingmar the Wanderer #0 and Ingmar Vs. The Bully
- A Touch of Class (A class project from my night school days at SVA)
- Sheldon the Mighty #1
- The original version of Sunnyville Stories #1 (with some different text)
- Assorted gag cartoons
I may be adding new wraparound segments too with Rusty introducing the comics and making witty commentary.
This will be a digital title but if I have enough sales, I may see about trying to do a print version.
It wasn’t easy looking for comics to compile into a bigger work. Some of my comics, like Von Herling, I want to save for future publication. Other comics currently away in storage are more personal works.
Compiling various comics into a bigger work not only requires a low level of investment for me; I get cash flow by receiving revenue on projects that I’m not currently incurring new costs. That was like how I liquidated some of my older print comics at my recent convention appearance – it was better to get money for them than have them just sitting around.
