Desert Island, Small Press Expo, and Episode 6

This is more of a personal entry.  First and foremost, I wanted to give everyone an update on episode 6.  I’m inking it – but the process is taking much longer than I expected.  It probably won’t be ready until sometime this fall.

Making it has not been easy.  I’ve been busy with trying to find a place that is more conducive to business and I’ve also done a whole book (Sunnyville Stories Volume 1 – which is available over at Indy Planet).  On top of that, I’m continuing to promote myself and my work.  In fact, I’ve been talking with various retailers to get them to carry my book (more on that in a bit).

All of you loyal fans out there who read this blog and follow my work – you will see Sunnyville Stories episode 6.  You’ll see many more stories too with Rusty and friends.  Believe me, I do have an ending in mind for this series.  No matter what happens, I will see this creation of mine through to the very end.  Be sure to check back here for further updates.

As a general reminder, I will be attending the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, Maryland in roughly two weeks time.  I’ll be there to mainly network and promote Sunnyville Stories.  In addition, I have extra copies of Sunnyville Stories episode 2-4 that I’ll be looking to trade with others for their work.

One final reminder here before I wrap this up:  remember that store I talked about in Brooklyn?  It was called Desert Island and is located at 540 Metropolitan Avenue in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.  Earlier this month, I dropped off a copy of Sunnyville Stories Volume 1 for them to carry on consignment.  If all goes well when I check back with them this weekend, they will carry FIVE MORE copies of my book!  If you haven’t already, be sure to visit the store as they not only have my book, but many other neat comics and zines.

Nobody said making comics was easy.  Believe me.  I’m learning a lot as of now and already, I’m making plans on “improving” my first trade paperback as well as the second one I’ll be putting out in 2014.
