Sunnyville Drama and Kickstarter 2018 Countdown

Hello, Sunnyville fans.  I told you there’d be another blog update today.

First, we’ll talk about Sunnyville #16.  The thumbnails went through a few revisions.  I had to trim some fat and consolidate more of the story.  My early estimates of the story placed it at about 30 pages.  Now the final page count will be 29 pages.  That will make Sunnyville #16 the shortest individual Sunnyville comic I’ve done so far.

In contrast to the more conflict and plot drive stories, this one is more dramatic.  As you remember, it deals with someone’s death.

Sunnyville Number 16 and Kickstarter 2018 Updates

Hello, Sunnyville fans.  Tonight, I have a short update for you but I will have another one tomorrow here on the blog.

Sunnyville Stories #16 is still under construction.  As of now, the story runs about 30 pages.  I still need to do some fine-tuning of the layouts and the thumbnails will be closely reviewed.  At 30 pages, this is turning out to be my shortest Sunnyville comic so far.

Work is also continuing on the Sunnyville Volume 4 Kickstarter.  More work on the page itself over on Kickstarter will continue tonight and tomorrow.  With the clock ticking down, I have to review my battle plans for the Kickstarter and around Thanksgiving, I’ll need to contact my backers again.

Short Update for November 5, 2017

Hello, Sunnyville fans.  Today’s update is a short one.  Work is still going slow on Sunnyville #16 but we are getting the Sunnyville Vol. 4 Kickstarter page set up.  Another round of reminders will go out to my contacts around Thanksgiving.

What I really want to mention today is my schedule for conventions for the last days of this year and into 2018.

As a reminder, I am attending the Toys Collectibles & Curiosities Exposition this Saturday December 9 at the Moorhead Center Mall in Moorhead, Minnesota.  I will be selling Sunnyville comics there as well as custom illustrated Christmas cards.  I still aim to see about having some special artwork for sale too.

I will be at FM Comicon in February 2018 too.  I’ll see about having something special there too for sale.

Also scheduled for next year is Valleycon 2018.  That should be taking place around October.

I should be selling at Corecon in June.  I was unable to go this year because of a clerical error denying me vendor space.  Hopefull that should be cleared up this year.

Kickstarter 2018 Countdown: 65 Days Left!

Hello, friends!  We have 65 days left until the January 5, 2018 launching of the Sunnyville Stories Volume 4 Kickstarter!

I am working on the Kickstarter page as the clock is ticking down.

I’ve outlined already the funding goal and time for the Kickstarter.  I’ve been busy putting up both the rewards and the initial copy.

Hello, Sunnyville fans.  Work progresses slowly but surely on Sunnyville #16.  My big priorities right now are assembling the Sunnyville Volume 4 Kickstarter in January and preparing for my final event for 2017.

Kickstarter 2018 Countdown: 72 Days Left!

This is just a short update today but I wanted to remind you that we are now 72 days away from the Sunnyville Stories Volume 4 Kickstarter launch on January 5, 2018!

I’m still recovering from Valleycon and already getting ready for a December event which I mentioned before.

I was able to take an important step today.  I have actually started assembling the Kickstarter page.  But I have to complete, tweak and monitor the page carefully to make sure that it works.  A lousy Kickstarter page setup will guarantee failure.  I also need to think over the video some more.  I hope to have an outline and storyboard to feature soon.  The video will be similar to the last one I did involving myself interacting with the Sunnyville character.  You’ll find out about that soon enough.

Just 72 days remain!  Mark your calendars!

Toys Collectibles And Curiosities Exposition This December

Ladies and gentlemen,  I will be having at least one more event appearance this year.

During my time at Valleycon this year, I learned the organizers have arranged another event.

On Saturday December 9, the Moorhead Center Mall will be hosting an event called the Toys Collectibles and Curiosities Exposition.  It’s a one-day event that will take place at that mall from 10AM to 5PM.

The event is free and open to the public.

As I said before, I’m going to be there.  I will have Sunnyville comics to sell there.  I will also have a few copies left of the Sunnyville Super Special.  This will be the Christmas season so these items will be promoted as excellent gift ideas for the comics fan (which they are).

I am working on a few extra items for this event.  They will be Christmas themed.  I got some blank cards which I will be turning into Sunnyville themed Christmas cards.  I may even have more surprises.

Saturday was indeed a busy day here at Valleycon!  There was much more activity today.
