Readers, I must apologize for failing to update the blog during the week.
Anyway, work is slow on Sunnyville number 10, but it’s steady.
Attention, readers! Different Mousetrap Press LLC, the company that publishes Sunnyville Stories, has a brand new mailing address as of 7/2/2014.
Anyone interested in ordering products or sending any correspondence? Please write to:
Different Mousetrap Press LLC, 1100 19th Avenue N, #108, Unit J, Fargo ND 58102-2269
A few announcements!
First, the paperwork has finally been processed by the bureaucrats in Bismarck. Different Mousetrap Press is now a publishing company operating in the US state of North Dakota. However, I still need a little more time to update everything. I’m setting up a new mailing address and have to settle a few other business related matters. The new mailing address will be updated soon on the contact page.
Second, we’ll be getting back to work on promoting the Sunnyville property. I’ve got some tricks up my sleeve to help raise awareness of Sunnyville, including advertising. On top of that, we expect to get more libraries carrying the books. I’ll be contacting two libraries in Massachusetts who were interested and once that’s out of the way, I’m going to be targeting the local libraries too.
That includes the Fargo Public Library, West Fargo Public Library, and Lake Agassiz Regional Library (Moorhead, Minnesota). Following those, I’ll be contacting school libraries in the area as well as ones in Grand Forks, Bismarck, and Minot. Remember that my company is represented by Brodart Books and BCH Distribution. Anyone interested in carrying our titles should get in touch with those companies.
Third, work has finally commenced on the inking for Sunnyville Stories episode 10. For now, I’m just doing the letters but I should be able to make some good progress on the work over the weekend.
Stay tuned to the blog for more information!
This is something I was only thinking about recently. It’s about the classification of Sunnyville Stories; in other words, I’m trying to figure out what genre it is.
What was that? You’re not familiar with the term “genre”? Well, that’s what we’ll talk about today. So what is genre? Continue reading
Alfred Pennyworth: Why do we fall sir? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up. – Batman Begins (2005)
As some of you recall, a few colleagues have been holding Kickstarters recently. My own Kickstarter was a failure and, truth be told, I didn’t want to see others share that fate.
Recently, JAR of Comics had his own Kickstarter and I stumped for him several times. I used Facebook and Twitter to alert others to his campaign and even used my blog in the last hours to drive more donations. He ended up succeeding. Continue reading
Today, I’d like to talk about yet another person who was an inspiration to my work.
Marc Brown (Photo Courtesy of Wikipedia)
This gentleman is named Marc Brown. For the uninitiated, Marc Brown is the creator of the famous literary and animated property, Arthur. Over the years, Brown has produced several books starring the aardvark Arthur Read, his family, and the many characters that make up his universe. Continue reading
