Von Herling Almost Done

I have a brief announcement to make. At this time, my graphic novel Von Herling, Vampire Hunter is nearly processed for the printers. I expect to put the book to bed by tonight.

Doing a whole graphic novel from scratch is quite an experience. I took almost one year to do that book – from the initial conception (I literally thought of that book during my move down to North Carolina) to the pages being turned into digital files. Anyway, you’re probably wondering what’s next for me.

There will be no time to rest once Von Herling is put to bed. I will resume work upon Sunnyville Stories #9 immediately. If all goes well, that should be done by the end of the year. On top of that, I also have some private commissions to do. If anyone is interesting in purchasing private commissions from me, please feel free to leave a comment here or check my contact information on how to get in touch with me.

My search for freelance work continues. I’ve been checking with local advertising agencies to see if they need my services. I’ve also been pitching to small press comics companies like IDW Publishing to see if they need freelancers. (On another note, I’m a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. As IDW puts out the My Little Pony comics, I’ve been tailoring my art submissions to reflect this interest.)

I have yet to work out plans for 2014. I have no conventions planned at present. Stay tuned to this blog for more information.
