Finding Fans for 2019

This is a personal entry. As 2018 draws to a close and we approach 2019, I feel conflicted inside. What I feel is a paradox.

I feel that success is so close and yet at the same time it is so far away from me.

How to proceed? My mind boggles. I felt it was time for a fresh perspective so I sorted through my books until I found what I was looking for – the Cerebus Guide to Self-Publishing by Dave Sim from Aardvark-Vanaheim. As you all know, Dave Sim is the creator of Cerebus the Aardvark which he drew, wrote and published to the very end – all 300 issues. Continue reading →

Dominic And Claire Work Part 1

Welcome back, readers. Before we get onto the meat of this blog post, I have some notes to share with all of you.

First, the Sunnyville Stories mailing list is hereby suspended until January 2019. I am starting to feel the strain of trying to do so many things at once. I am questioning why I’m doing both the mailing list and blog together. Second, Tiffany & Corey will continue; whether or not my webcomic will go on after 2019 is unknown. Third, don’t forget to check out the Toys Collectibles & Curiosities Exposition in Moorhead Center Mall on Saturday December 8 in Moorhead, Minnesota. I will be there selling comics and art. Back in Town

I have returned from my emergency trip to New York. It was of a personal nature. Those of you who know me personally will be aware why I took the trip.

My father passed away.

Anyway, I have since returned to my base of operations here in Fargo. I’ll be picking up where I left off on with my comics work on Dominic & Claire. I had to miss the show in Moorhead this past Saturday (I had more pressing matters) but I will be at the Toys Collectibles & Curiosities Exposition on Saturday December 8.

Emergency Hiatus

Coloring Comics For the First Time

Now that Inktober is over and done with, I have some announcements to make. First, I will be selling comics and other goodies at a craft show over in Moorhead Center Mall this coming Saturday November 10 in Moorhead, Minnesota. This is a big show and many will be looking for Christmas gifts (that time already?). In fact, this show is so big that tables & chairs are NOT provided this time by the event staff; I have to provide my own! Look for me there if you want some comics or Christmas presents.

Second, the fund for the Kickstarter have cleared by now. This weekend, the files for the Sunnyville Super Special #2 Kickstarter will go to the printers. More reward surveys will go out tonight and the last of them tomorrow – PLEASE make sure you fill yours out so you can get your Kickstarter rewards. Continue reading →
