Plans for Sunnyville in 2017

The year 2016 is gone and the new year of 2017 has started.  That means out with the old…

AND IN WITH THE NEW!!!

Ahem…I have a lot of plans for this coming year for both Sunnyville Stories and my other creations.  So let’s go over what’s in store for this year.

First, I’m still working on a top secret project.  You’ll know about that soon enough.  Second, I have gone back to doing YouTube videos on a regular basis.  These will be audio style, thanks to the microphone I got last month.  One was posted up back around December 14.  I just put another one up a short time ago.  My YouTube channel will get updates at least twice a month – around the start and again around the middle.  Here’s the first entry of the new year.   Continue reading →

Holiday Break 2016

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a brief announcement.  With the holiday season here, I’ll be taking a break from regular blogging.

The pages of Sunnyville Stories #14 will continue to be serialized as usual on Wednesdays.

From here on, I have to get ready for the Sunnyville Stories Kickstarter launching on Jan. 8, I need to take care of Christmas cards, plans for 2017 must be finalized and there’s my secret project to be finished.  (You’ll find out about the secret project soon enough.)

30 Days Until The Kickstarter!

In 30 days from now, on January 8, 2017, the second Sunnyville Stories Kickstarter will launch!

As this blog post goes live, I’m wrapping up most of the work preparing the Kickstarter itself.  I’m finishing the video, which will be a slideshow.  I’m also finalizing a plan to promote the Kickstarter.  The mailing list will be leveraged.  I’ll also be reaching to contacts to spread the word and a lot of the backers I had contacted earlier this year for support.

As the clock ticks down, there’ll be more updates on the mailing list as well as this blog.  Make sure you stay tuned!

Three Comics Kickstarters To Check Out!

Today, rather than talk about my own comics, I’d like to talk about three specific projects on Kickstarter that look neat and relate to comics.

Personally speaking, I find it amazing that very creative comics projects are turning up on Kickstarter.  Some of these are really innovative, truly original or just sheer genius.  Some of these are not only meeting their funding goals but also surpassing by them insane amounts.  I see projects that meet 200% of their funding goals or even 500% or 800% of their goals!  This is remarkable beyond words.  But enough about that.  How about a few of the neat projects on Kickstarter?   Continue reading →
